Where Cartizze reaches the sky
Where Cartizze
reaches the sky
Valdobbiadene DOCG
The meeting between generations was well managed and gave us a landscape and a craft that can boast the title of World Heritage Site, thanks to our elders.
Valdobbiadene and Conegliano are connected by a single pentagram, on which the farmers carve the song of the hills, from season to season.
We are located on the ridge that joins San Pietro di Barbozza and Santo Stefano, at the top of Cartizze hill, that holds the history of the world.
Wines
The wine from the grapes of our very steep vineyards expresses its full personality in the classic sparkling wine declinations. Up to the characteristics of the soils and the skills of the cellar, the musts are tended and blended for the best bouquets in Dry, Extra Dry, Brut, Colfondo.
The domestic dimension of the estate, whose boundaries were defined by the family geography of Tano and Giovanna, has developed over the last two decades into a more solid configuration in which the heirs’ families, Renato and Sergio, have found a good balance while preserving the peasant and ‘family’ imprint of the origins.
Tano’s wine cellar has been transformed and now extends deep into the multicoloured magma of the Cartizze hill.
Our Land
Raising vines is our trade and the Riva is our workplace; our peasant workshop on a par with the Renaissance workshop where Humanism was born.
Raising vines on the Riva in the most convoluted hillsides is the trade we learned from our parents with rough, peasant pedagogy.
Each row of vines takes root on a bank shaped with the hoe and stubbornly maintained vine by vine, one by one in an interminable conversation with which we consolidate the stability of the slopes and the magnificence of the landscape.
We are at your disposal to provide you with information about our production process, the history of our wines, and to answer any other questions you may have.
